Moving Walls Planner

This guide walks through configuring Operations — step 2 of the 6-step Add Network workflow in the Moving Walls Planner: Classification → Operations → Pricing & Terms → Inventories → Media → Review.

Overview

Step

Purpose

1. Classification

Categorize the network type

2. Operations (this guide)

Configure DSP access, hours, and content restrictions

3. Pricing & Terms

Set cost, currency, and commercial terms

4. Inventories

Attach inventory locations to the network

5. Media

Upload reference photos of the network

6. Review

Confirm details before creating the network

Part 1: Setting Operating Hours

  1. On the Operations step, an info banner reads “Configure which DSPs can access this network and set content restrictions that apply to all inventories in it.” By default, “Different hours on different days?” is off, and a single Operating Hours range (e.g., 06:00 AM – 10:00 PM) applies to every day.

Operations step — default single Operating Hours

  1. Toggle “Different hours on different days?” on if network screens have varying schedules (e.g., shorter hours on weekends). This expands a “Per-Day Schedule” with an individual row — time range, “Add Block,” and an on/off toggle — for each weekday.

Per-Day Schedule — individual hours and toggle per weekday

  1. Click into any time field to open the time picker (hour / minute / AM-PM columns) and set a custom start or end time for that day.

  1. Toggling “Different hours on different days?” back off collapses the per-day rows and returns to a single Operating Hours field that applies to all days.

Part 2: Programmatic Access and Content Restrictions

  1. Toggle “Enable Programmatic” on to allow this network to participate in programmatic auctions via DSPs. This reveals a “Deal Types” checklist — Evergreen PMP, Open Auction, Private Auction, Guaranteed, and Preferred Deal — for selecting which deal types are supported.

Enable Programmatic — Deal Types checklist

  1. Click the “DSP Exposure” field to open a multi-select list of DSP platforms (CAASie, LMX-ECOMMERCE, MAD, MAP, MAR, Marketplace, MAX, Mediasmart, OOHDesk, StackAdapt, and more). Selected platforms appear as removable chips above the field.

  1. Click the “Content Restrictions (IAB v3.1)” field to search and select content categories to restrict. Categories are organized hierarchically — checking a parent category (e.g., “Attractions”) automatically selects its subcategories, which appear as chips with a “+N” overflow count.

Part 3: Spot & Loop Configuration and Creative Types

  1. Under “Spot & Loop Configuration,” enter “Spots per Loop” and “Default Spot Duration (sec).” The read-only “Loop Duration (sec)” field auto-calculates as Spots per Loop × Default Spot Duration, with a live confirmation message (e.g., “12 spots × 15s = 180s loop”).

  1. Under “Accepted Creative Types,” choose a Creative Type (e.g., Image) and one or more accepted Formats (gif, jpeg, jpg, png, tiff) from the Format dropdown. Each selection appears as a chip (e.g., “Image: jpeg”).
