Moving Walls Planner
This guide walks through Operations — Step 3 of the 6-step Add Inventory wizard in the Moving Walls Planner — covering operating hours, per-day scheduling, programmatic and DSP settings, spot/loop configuration, and player & booking setup.
Overview
The Add Inventory wizard has six steps: Classification → Location → Operations → Pricing & Terms → Media → Panel. This guide covers the third step only.
Operations Field | What It Configures |
Operating Hours | Daily start/end time the screens are active; applies to all days unless overridden |
Different hours on different days | Toggle that switches to a per-day schedule (Monday–Sunday), each with its own hours, an Off switch, and Add Block for split shifts |
Enable Programmatic | Toggle allowing this inventory to participate in real-time bidding auctions via DSPs |
Deal Types | Supported programmatic deal types — Evergreen PMP, Open Auction, Private Auction, Guaranteed, Preferred Deal — shown only when Programmatic is enabled |
DSP Exposure | Which demand-side platforms can discover and bid on this inventory |
Content Restrictions (IAB v3.1) | Content categories that should not appear on this inventory |
Spots per Loop / Default Spot Duration | Number of ad slots per loop and the length of each spot; Loop Duration is auto-calculated from the two |
Player Software | The CMS/player software running the screen |
Booking Mode | Loop-based or Time-based booking |
Player Count | Number of physical players/screens tied to this record |
Accepted Creative Types | Creative Type (Image/Video/Audio) plus the accepted file formats for that type |
Part 1: Setting Operating Hours
From step 2 (Location), click Continue to reach step 3, Operations. An Operations Tips panel on the right explains that operating hours affect availability and pricing, programmatic participation, and DSP exposure.
Operations, step 3 of 6 — Operations Tips panel
Click into the Operating Hours start field and type the hour, minute, and AM/PM segments in turn; repeat for the end field. These hours apply to every day until a per-day schedule is set.
Operating Hours set to 06:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Part 2: Per-Day Scheduling (Optional)
Turn on Different hours on different days to reveal a Per-Day Schedule — Monday through Sunday, each pre-filled with the hours from Part 1, with its own Off switch and Add Block for split schedules (e.g., morning and evening).
Per-Day Schedule — Monday through Thursday shown
Toggle a specific day's Off switch to mark it unavailable for booking (e.g., a weekend). Turning Different hours on different days back off collapses the per-day rows and returns to the single Operating Hours field.
Part 3: Programmatic, DSP, and Content Restrictions
Turn on Enable Programmatic to reveal Deal Types, then check the supported types — this example checks Evergreen PMP and Open Auction. Turning Programmatic back off hides the Deal Types section again.
Deal Types — visible once Enable Programmatic is on
Open DSP Exposure and check the demand-side platforms allowed to discover and bid on this inventory — selections appear as chips; this example ends with MAD and MAX.
DSP Exposure — MAD, MAX selected
Open Content Restrictions (IAB v3.1) and search or browse the nested category list to exclude categories from this inventory — this example ends with 12 categories selected, shown as chips with a "+9" overflow count.
Content Restrictions — multiple IAB categories selected
Part 4: Spot & Loop Configuration
Enter Spots per Loop (e.g., 10) and Default Spot Duration (sec) (e.g., 20). Loop Duration (sec) is read-only and auto-calculates from the two, confirmed by a live banner: "10 spots × 20s = 200s total loop."
Spot & Loop Configuration — Loop Duration auto-calculated
Part 5: Player & Booking
Search and select Player Software from the long CMS/player list (e.g., Cayin), choose Booking Mode — Loop or Time — and enter Player Count (e.g., 1).
Player Software, Booking Mode, and Player Count set
Under Accepted Creative Types, choose a Creative Type — Image, Video, or Audio — then check the accepted file formats for it; this example selects Video with mp4 and mpeg.
Accepted Creative Types — Video, with mp4 and mpeg formats
Click Continue to move to step 4, Pricing & Terms, which sets currency and rate fields (Base CPS, Base CPM) and booking constraints (Min Hours, Min Days, Lead Days, Min Spots/Day).
Continue leads to step 4 — Pricing & Terms
