Planner
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about creating campaigns in Planner and managing creatives in Influence.
Q: What is the difference between Planner and Influence?
A: Planner is where you build and submit a media campaign — setting the budget, targeting, and inventory. Influence is where the campaign's creatives (videos or images) are assigned and approved once the campaign has been approved and become a live deal.
Q: Do I have to complete every step when creating a campaign?
A: No. Targeting (Step 3) and Optimization (Step 5) are marked as optional in the progress tracker. You can skip them and Planner will still recommend inventory based on the budget and goals you entered, though completing them gives more accurate recommendations.
Q: Can I make changes to a campaign after I submit it?
A: No. Once a campaign is submitted, it cannot be edited unless it is rejected and sent back to you. Review all campaign details carefully before clicking Submit Campaign.
Q: What do the approval stages mean?
A: A submitted campaign typically passes through Agency Acceptance, Internal Review, and Media Owner Approval before it goes live. Users with approval permissions can Approve or Reject the campaign at each relevant stage.
Q: Where do I assign creatives to a campaign?
A: Creatives are assigned in Influence, not Planner. Once a campaign is approved it becomes a live deal in Influence, where you open the relevant line item and use Assign Creative to upload or select a video or image file.
Q: Why is my approved campaign not delivering impressions?
A: A campaign will not deliver impressions until its creatives have been reviewed and approved. Check the Pending Review counter at the top of the Line Item Creatives screen — any creative still marked Pending will block delivery.
Q: What does a creative's status mean?
A: Pending means the creative has been uploaded but not yet reviewed. Approved means it has been reviewed and cleared to play. Rejected means it was declined and a new creative needs to be assigned in its place.
Q: What is a Line Item?
A: A line item is a specific inventory booking within an approved campaign — for example, one screen or one site. Creatives are assigned and approved at the line item level in Influence.
Q: How do I find a specific campaign later on?
A: Go to Planner → Campaigns to see the full list of campaigns. Use the Search bar and Filter options at the top to quickly locate a specific one, or check the Status column to see whether it is Draft, Pending, Approved, or Completed.
Q: What does the AI Smart Recommendation do in the Inventories step?
A: It automatically suggests inventory that matches the budget, targeting, and goals you entered earlier in the campaign setup. You can review the full suggested list by clicking View Recommendation, or search and select inventory manually instead.
Q: What is Geo-fencing used for?
A: Geo-fencing lets you draw a custom geographic area on a map to target your campaign, rather than relying on a country or city name alone. It is part of the optional Targeting step.
Q: Can I duplicate or archive a campaign?
A: Yes. From the Campaigns list, click the Actions menu (the three dots) next to any campaign to Duplicate, Download, Archive, or access other options such as View Details or Edit Media Plan.
