A complete guide to managing, delivering, and monetizing DOOH advertising inventory with Influence.
1. Introduction
Influence is a Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) campaign management platform that helps media owners manage, deliver, and monetize their advertising inventory from a single platform.
It enables users to manage campaigns, line items, creatives, inventory, and pricing while supporting both direct and programmatic advertising. By streamlining campaign execution and ad delivery, Influence helps maximize inventory utilization and revenue.
2. Accessing Influence
Open your web browser.
Navigate to the Influence login page: https://influence.movingwalls.com/
Enter your login credentials.
Click Sign In to access Influence.
3. Dashboard Overview
The Dashboard provides a centralized overview of your advertising operations, allowing you to quickly assess the current performance of your business. It consolidates key performance indicators (KPIs), campaign metrics, inventory status, revenue, and operational insights into a single view — so you can monitor overall performance, identify important trends, and take informed actions without navigating through multiple pages.
3.1 Time Period Selector
The Time Period Selector is located in the upper-right corner of the Dashboard. It controls the date range used to calculate all time-based metrics, including impressions, revenue, and delivery trends. Available options: Last 30 Days (default), Last 60 Days, Last 90 Days, and Custom Dates.
To select a custom range: choose Custom Dates from the dropdown, click the date range field, then choose a start and end date from the calendar. Once both dates are selected, the calendar closes automatically and the dashboard refreshes.
3.2 KPI Cards
Active Campaigns – Counts campaigns with a status of "active". The subtitle "of X total" shows the total number of deals in the system.
Total Impressions – Total advertisement impressions delivered during the selected time period.
Revenue – Total advertising revenue generated during the selected time period.
Fill Rate – The percentage of available advertising opportunities successfully filled with advertisements; the subtitle shows the average CPM for the period.
Active Screens – The number of screens currently active, with "of N total" showing all configured screens.
Active Line Items – Line items currently delivering ads. A line item is active when its status is Active, the current date falls within its flight dates, and it still has remaining budget or impression goals.
Pending Approvals – The number of creative assets currently awaiting approval.
3.3 Dashboard Widgets
Impression Delivery – A visual representation of impression delivery over time: hourly for Today, daily for This Week, This Month, or a custom range. Use it to spot unexpected drops or spikes.
Inventory Status – Categorizes inventory as Online (connected and serving ads), Offline (not responding or disconnected), or Maintenance (temporarily unavailable).
Recent Campaigns – The most recently created or updated campaigns, showing name, type (Programmatic or Direct), and status: Active (running and serving ads), Pending (awaiting approval, scheduling, or activation), Completed (finished delivering), or Draft (created but not yet published).
Line Item Delivery Status – Classifies active line items by pacing: On Track, Ahead, Behind, or At Risk, giving a high-level view of delivery health.
Creative Status – Distribution of creative assets by approval status: Accepted, Pending, In Review, or Inadequate — useful for spotting approval bottlenecks.
4. Campaigns
A Campaign is the primary advertising entity in the platform and serves as the foundation for every advertising initiative. It defines the overall business context — advertiser, brand, target markets, duration, and objectives. All campaign activities are organized under a campaign: once created, users can add line items, assign creatives, manage delivery, and monitor performance. Every delivery record, report, and billing activity is associated with it.
4.1 The Campaigns Page
The Campaigns page provides a centralized view of all advertising campaigns. From this page, users can create new campaigns, search and filter existing ones, and manage campaign details throughout their lifecycle.
Filtering campaigns: click Filters, select the criteria, and click Apply Filters (or Reset to clear). Available filters:
Status – Live, Draft, Pending, Generated, Approved, Archived, Reopened, Completed, or Expired.
Mode – Direct, Programmatic, Preferred, Private, or Evergreen.
Currency, Brand, Advertiser, Seller – Filter by commercial attributes.
Flight Dates – Show campaigns running within a selected date range.
Sort By – e.g. Newest First.
Customizing the table: click the Modify Table icon in the toolbar, enable or disable the columns you need in the Customize Table Elements panel, then click Apply Changes.
4.2 Deal & Campaign Types
Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) – A programmatic agreement in which a publisher reserves a fixed amount of inventory for a specific advertiser at a pre-agreed price. No bidding is involved: guaranteed inventory, fixed pricing, exclusive agreement, and predictable delivery.
Preferred Deal – A non-guaranteed arrangement where advertisers buy inventory at a fixed eCPM price. Impression delivery is based on availability, the deal is negotiated directly between one publisher and one advertiser, and charges apply only to impressions actually served.
Private Auction – The publisher offers premium inventory to a selected group of advertisers through a private bidding process. There is no impression commitment; invited advertisers compete on eCPM, and the highest eligible bid wins.
Evergreen PMP – A non-guaranteed private-marketplace deal with no fixed impression commitment; advertisers participate in an auction and pay only for delivered impressions.
Direct – Traditional advertising campaigns; any campaign that is not programmatic is classified as Direct.
5. Creating a Programmatic Campaign
Click Create Campaign, then:
Enter the required Campaign Name. Media Type is set to DOOH by default.
Select the desired Brand from the list.
Select the deal type — Direct or Programmatic — and for programmatic, the Programmatic Type (Programmatic Guaranteed, Preferred Deal, Private Auction, or Evergreen).
Enable Mark this Campaign as non-billable if needed.
Select the Country where the campaign will run (only countries available to your account are displayed).
For PG deals, enable Hard Stop (stop delivery when goal is reached) if delivery should stop automatically at the goal.
Select the DSP through which the campaign will be delivered, and the Buyer the campaign is associated with.
Select the Transaction Type: Spot (pricing based on the number of spots played) or Audience (pricing based on measured impression value).
Select the Currency and enter the total Budget.
Choose a Goal Type. For Spot campaigns: None (no goal), Share of Voice (delivers based on a percentage of total advertising activity on the selected screens), or Ad Plays (delivers a specified number of plays). For Audience campaigns: Impressions (maximizes total ad views) or Reach (maximizes unique users — specify the target number of unique users).
Select the Seller, and enter the Seller Contact Number and Seller Email if required.
Click Create Campaign.
Private Auction only: select the Auction Type before proceeding — First-Price Auction (highest bidder wins and pays their full bid) or Second-Price Auction (highest bidder wins but pays the second-highest bid plus a small increment). Choose based on the pricing model agreed with the publisher or marketplace.
6. Adding a Line Item
After a campaign is created you are redirected to the Add Line Item page. Alternatively, on an existing campaign, click the three-dot (⋮) menu, select View Line Items, then click New Line Item. The configuration below applies to all deal types unless noted.
Enter a unique, descriptive Line Item Name.
Select the Creative Type: Display, Video, or Audio.
Set the Priority (1–10). Priority 1 is highest, 10 is lowest; when multiple line items compete for the same inventory at the same time, higher-priority items are evaluated first. Typical usage: 1 for premium/sponsorship, 5 for standard, 8 for house ads. Note: Pacing and Priority settings are not applicable for Direct deal line items.
Select the Ad Duration in seconds (e.g., 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, or 60) — it must match the duration of the creative file.
Select the Start and End Dates during which the line item will be active.
6.1 Budget & Pacing
Unlimited Budget – Enable the toggle if the line item should have no budget cap; when disabled, you must configure the budget.
Pacing – Controls delivery distribution: ASAP (deliver as fast as possible), Even (spread uniformly across the flight — the default), or Front Loaded (deliver more early in the campaign). For Programmatic Guaranteed deals pacing is set to Even by default; for Evergreen, Preferred, and Private Auction deals you can choose the pacing from the dropdown.
6.2 Targeting
The Targeting section defines the audience and geographic locations where the line item will be delivered. All targeting fields support multiple selections. Geographic targeting is limited to the countries selected in the parent campaign.
Geography – Define delivery areas on an interactive map using the Circle Draw Tool (center point + radius), Polygon Draw Tool (custom shapes for complex areas), or Line Draw Tool (target inventory along a route or corridor, such as highways or transit routes).
Age Group – 18–24, 25–34, 35–44, 45–54, 55–64, 65+.
Gender – Male, Female.
Income – Target audiences by estimated income bracket.
Interests – Target by interest categories to improve relevance and engagement.
Points of Interest (POI) – Target screens near specific places such as malls, airports, stadiums, and hospitals. Select Points of Interest (POI) in the Targeting section to open the POI drawer with categories and search.
Venue Type – Select the venue environments where ads should display.
Ad Resolution – Select the screen resolutions that support your creative so ads only display on compatible screens.
DOOH Inventory Type – Search by Media Owner, select the Inventory Type, and choose one or more Inventory Formats.
AI Inventory Recommendations – The system analyzes your campaign parameters and recommends the screens that best match your targeting requirements.
6.3 Day Parting, Delivery & Cost
Day Parting – Control when ads are delivered: open the Day Parting section, use the 24-hour grid to select the hours the ad should run, select one or more time slots, and save the schedule.
Delivery – Set a Threshold Count Per Day: the maximum impressions or ad plays deliverable per day. Once reached, delivery pauses until the next day.
Cost – Specify the delivery rate; the system automatically calculates the total cost from the configured rate.
6.4 Custom Fees (optional)
Custom Fees let you add charges such as agency commissions, data fees, premium placement charges, or ad verification fees. These are included in the overall campaign cost calculation.
In the Custom Fees section, click Add Fee.
Enter the Name, Amount, and Type: Fixed (flat amount in campaign currency) or Percentage (percentage of media cost). Select the Invoice checkbox if the fee should appear on the invoice.
Click Save to create the line item.
7. Approval & DSP Workflow (Programmatic Deals)
After saving the line item, click Request for Approval. The request is sent to the corresponding DSP for review.
If Moving Audience Xchange (MAX) is the selected DSP:
Log in to the MAX DSP and navigate to Direct Deals.
Open the corresponding campaign, review the deal details, and click Accept.
Configure an order for the accepted deal: enter the Order Name, select the Brand, configure the required Direct Deal, select its checkbox, and click Save.
Click Assign Creative, drag and drop the required creative into the assignment area, and click Save.
If the required creative is not listed: verify the campaign's resolution and duration match the creative's, upload it to the Content Hub with the correct specs, and once processed it will appear in the Assign Creative list.
Reviewing and approving the creative in Influence:
Log in to Influence, open the campaign and the corresponding line item.
Click the Actions button for the line item and select Creative.
Review the assigned creative and click Approve.
Note: If the approved creative is associated with a player, it automatically goes live on the campaign start date.
From the Creative page you can also download the creative as VAST, ZIP, or URL — pasting the URL format in a new browser window will start generating the delivery report.
7.1 Viewing the Delivery Report
Open the campaign and the corresponding line item.
Click the More Actions (three-dot) menu and select Delivery Report.
The Delivery Report page displays the campaign's performance metrics for monitoring delivery status and overall performance.
8. Creating a Direct Deal
Enter the Campaign Name (Media Type defaults to DOOH) and select the Brand.
Select the Client Type: Direct Advertiser or Agency.
Select the Country — the currency is set automatically based on the selected country.
Enter the total Budget and select the delivery Goal: None, Share of Voice, Ad Plays, Impressions, or Reach — then enter the required values for the selected goal.
Enable Mark this Campaign as non-billable if needed, then click Create Campaign.
Add a line item following the same steps as in Section 6 (note that Pacing and Priority do not apply to Direct line items).
Click Save to create the line item, then click Activate Deal and Confirm Activation.
Click the three-dot menu for the activated deal, select Creatives, then click Assign Creative.
Click the View Creative icon to preview, review the creative, and click Approve to complete the approval process.
9. Content Hub
The Content Hub is where all creatives and folders are stored. Each creative shows its approval status at the top right, and the search box finds any uploaded creative by name. The Filter button narrows creatives by status, type, and folder.
Creating a folder – Click New Folder, enter a folder name and optional description, and click Create Folder. The folder appears on the Content Hub front page.
Uploading creatives to a folder – Open the folder and click Upload in the top-right corner, then Browse Files to select creatives from local storage. The Creative Specification section shows all supported formats across media types.
Uploading directly – Click Upload Creatives on the Content Hub homepage; files upload without a folder association.
Preview, approve & manage – Click the eye icon on a creative to preview it and click Approve. Use the action buttons to review, download, or delete a creative. Once approved, a creative can be used in campaigns.
10. Proof of Play
The Proof of Play page lets users view advertisement playback records and upload playlogs for campaigns.
Playlog Upload: media owners can manually upload playback records for campaigns not integrated with a CMS. Uploaded playlogs are converted into Proof of Play (PoP) records used for campaign reporting and verification.
Navigate to Proof of Play and click Upload Playlog.
Drag and drop a supported file (CSV or Excel .xlsx) or browse to select it.
Review the parsed data in the preview table and submit once all records are valid.
A Download Template option is available to help prepare playlog data in the correct format.
11. Integrations & DSP Buyers
Integrations: administrators can manage SSP and DSP partner connections used for programmatic advertising, with a centralized view of all configured partners and their connection status. Navigate to Integrations from the main menu to see all available DSP partner integrations.
